Study on interfacial tension of surfactant and its oil displacement performance

Abstract Tuha oil field is located at the Turpan basin in China. Currently, water content of main reservoir section Y-6 more than 93% and recovery rate less 20%. At present, an efficient displacing agent must be selected for this field, which can used reservoirs with a high degree mineralization. Based on results experiments measuring interfacial tension surfactant solution oil, non-ionic was selected. Non-ionic reduce to ultra-low level (10 ?3 mN/m), when amount adsorption by sand 3, also maintain 10 ?2 mN/m, so has good anti-adsorption ability. The displacement show that increase efficiency displacement. But under condition cut, dominant flow channel core formed, flows into preferentially reduces residual saturation channel, leads decrease resistance coefficient injection pressure. Therefore, after flooding, take measures control fluid profiles firstly following solutions change direction areas not exposed order achieve best effect recovery.
